Beetle Project
You have been hired as a graphic designer by VW. They want to see what other colors they should offer in the beetle and to see an example of how to advertise their product. Your final product must be a well-developed, attractive advertisement complete with the car's manufacturer logo and unique catchy slogan. Your background and your car should be the same color. Add a layer style to the text to make it stand out. Come up with an original catch phrase slogan. There is a PDF tutorial located to the right to help you complete this project.
Be sure to arrange your components in a way that utilizes the Elements and Principles of Designand accomplishes your intended purpose. Your finished product will look similar to the example above, but may have a different background, different car color, and different catch phrase. Two-tone the car to challenge your skills and ablities.
Open this Beetle files. Save each of the documents and images needed to complete the project. Save them in your network folder and Google Drive.
1-Paint the beetle. 2-Duplicate the painted beetle to your chosen background. 3-Layer Mask the car. 4-Transform the beetle to fit on the spotlight on the right. 5-Add the VW logo in the same manner. 6-Type the text slogan the same as the example and add drop shadow to the text (you can choose a font type different from the example). 7-Make sure you have created informal balance and that all images have been cut out cleanly. 8-Refer to the finished example to make sure your work is similar to the example given.
When you are finished save the file (as a .psd file) to your Google drive and in your network folder. Save the file as last name + first initial + bettlebug.psd (ex. ayersbbettlebug.psd). Then save as a JPEG with the same name, last name + first initial + bettlebug.jpg (ex. ayersbbettlebug.jpg). Submit both in the turn in folder for a grade.
This Project is due by the end of the school day on Friday.
